The relationship between toner and drying speed
Commonly used auxiliary materials for modulation printing ink: toner, kerosene, debinding agent, diluent, etc. In printing, toner is mainly used to increase the flow speed of ink. However, the thickness of toner is closely related to the drying speed. The thicker the toner oil, the faster the drying speed of the ink under the same conditions, because the drying speed of the ink is accelerated with the increase of the thickening degree of the ink.
From the principle of dry oil drying, the thickening process of the ink is its drying process. That is to say, when the toner is used for printing, part of the reaction in its drying and film-forming process has been completed, and this part of the reaction is carried out at high temperature. If oil or thin toner is used, and it is thickened to the same extent at room temperature, the time required is greatly extended, so the drying and film-forming speed of thin toner is generally slower than that of thick toner.
Thin toner has little plasticity, is easy to flow and penetrate, is coated on paper or glass, has a long time in the flow state, the drying speed is slow, is the resistance of film-forming curing, and thick oil is not, can It is very good to fix and rest on the surface of the substrate, and it is easier to form a film and cure, so it dries faster.
Therefore, when adjusting ink, it is necessary to clarify the purpose of adjusting ink, and then decide what type of toner to use.
